These terms are not yet binding. No legal entity has been registered to make them enforceable. A registered operator name, address, and jurisdiction are planned but not yet available, which is why these terms remain placeholder. In the meantime, you are welcome to use CaptionCraft as-is, at your own discretion.

What this is

CaptionCraft is a free, browser-based tool that helps you shape a single transcript into caption text for multiple social media platforms. It is provided as a static web page with no server-side processing. Your data stays in your browser.

No accounts or payment

CaptionCraft requires no account and collects no payment. There is no pricing, no tiers, no trial, and no paid feature. The product is free and not for sale. If a sign-in feature is added in the future to persist captions across devices, it will be free as well.

What you own

You own your transcript and the captions you create. CaptionCraft claims no ownership over your content. Because the tool runs entirely in your browser, we never receive a copy of what you paste.

What we provide

The tool is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. It applies simple formatting rules — character limits and line length conventions — to the text you paste. It does not generate captions, does not post to any platform, and does not guarantee compliance with any platform's current content policies, which change independently.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CaptionCraft and its operator shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of the tool, including but not limited to lost time, lost captions (which are stored only in your browser's localStorage and can be cleared by your browser), or any platform policy violation arising from captions you create with this tool.

Changes

These terms may be updated. When a legal entity is registered and takes ownership of this product, the terms will be updated with real governing law and an effective date — a registered address is planned. Until then, these placeholder terms apply.

Governing law

To be determined. No jurisdiction is asserted. The operator (Agen2ic, LLC, a Colorado limited liability company) operates this service. Once a formal entity is designated, the governing law will be stated here.
