CaptionCraft is designed so you do not have to trust us with your data — because mostly, we do not see it.

What we collect

When you use the caption tool, your transcript, your caption variants, and your edits stay in your browser's localStorage. They never leave your device. The page is served by a Cloudflare Worker, but your caption text is not sent to it — the shaping happens in the browser.

The only automatic network request is to load the page itself and the Google Fonts you see here. Google may log that request as part of its font delivery service; we do not control what Google logs.

Feedback. If you choose to submit feedback through the form on the App page, we store your message, category, and optional email address in a database. This data is used only to improve the product and to respond if you provided an email. You may submit feedback without providing an email address.

What we do not collect

We do not have accounts, cookies (beyond localStorage), analytics, tracking pixels, session recording, or any form of telemetry. Your captions are yours alone — they never leave your device unless you choose to send them through an authenticated session, and even then we store only the text you explicitly save.

If we add accounts

If a sign-in feature is added in the future, you will authenticate through our shared identity provider (auth.agen2ic.ai). At that point we will store a minimal user record — a random identifier, nothing more — to persist your captions across sessions. We will update this policy before that ships.

Third parties

This site hosts no third-party scripts, embeds, or trackers. Google Fonts is loaded from Google's servers; see Google's privacy policy for their data practices.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data on our server, there is nothing to access, correct, or delete from our side. If you wish to clear your saved captions, use your browser's "Clear site data" or remove localStorage for this domain.
